Education is changing every day and the objective of this change is to give children the best educaciton possible. The new techonologies have the responsibility of the changing of the methodology in our schools.

At first I read about new techonologies at school and I did not know that this could be used with children. I thought that they were too young to do things on compunters.

Secondly most families have computers at home but if children doesn`t have it, they can't do their homework.

However ICT gives us a new way of teaching. If teachers have computers in class they will give children a new and different point of view with films, the Internet, audios and pictures. Children will learn and have fun at the same time.

In conclusion, ICT will change education and it will be more interesting than now. We have to give children computer skills.

In the 21st century there is a discussion about the best type of education. It has changed from a traditional methodology to a modern methodology.

In the past with traditional methodology the teacher know all the information and they thought children did not know anything. Children only had to listen, memorize and repeat. They did not enjoy learning.

On the other hand modern methodologies give more importance to children. Children have to investigate and find information. They know things and have opinions.
The world is changing with new technologies. Now schools have computers, Internet, videos,... inside the classroom. All these make the lessons more interesting and children learn and have fun at the same time.

In conclusion modern methodologies give children computers and language skills. Because of that, children will have more opportunities to continue studying another level or having a better job. They will be better prepared for the modern world.

Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I spent a few minutes thinking about the answer to this question because it is not easy to explain. Last year, I decided to continue my education. I had two options: to be a nurse or a teacher. I decided to come a teacher.

At first my idea of being a teacher was that teaches only draw and paint but this is not true. Being a teacher is more than that, you affect the future of the children.
I studied for another degree I am physical therapist and I love my job. But I do not see myself doing this when I am 40. Because of that I want to have another profession.

Secondly children are a very important part of my life. I like to play, to enjoy and to learn from these little people. They have a different point of view of the world. In which, there are no wars, crisis or problems.

In conclusion being a teacher makes me feel nervous because I will have the education of the children in my hands and this is a big responsibility.

LONDON LANDMARKS: HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT

The Houses of Parliament are one of the most famous landmarks in London. This interesting place is also known as the “Palace of Westminster”.

It is located in Westminster, in the centre of London. The Houses have been there since 1016, but the building has changed a couple of times because of several disasters (like fire or bombs), so most of what we can see today is just 170 years old.

The landmark that we are speaking about includes different places to visit .

It has The Victoria Tower at one end, and the most famous bell, known as Big Ben which is on Saint Stephen’s Tower.

It also has The House of Commons: the first chamber of the UK Parliament represented by 650 publicly elected Members; and The House of Lords, the second chamber, each one independent from the other. Finally, there is The Royal Gallery.
Parliament is open to visitors; everybody can attend debates and watch committees when Parliament is in session, and everybody can also visit the Archives, but the Clock Tower can just be visited and climbed by UK residents, unfortunately.

Anyway, The Houses of Parliament is a place you must not miss!!

http://www.escueladeolvega.com/bloginfantil/

http://educadoreshoy.wordpress.com/
